Chris Loynes will join us in July for part 3 of the lecture series. Join the lecture starting from 6:30 p.m. on July 12th, at Sonpo Japan Bldg., in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

Chris Loynes will join us in July for part 3 of the lecture series. Chris has experiences as an outdoor education consultant, an editor of the Journal of Adventure Education and Outdoor Leadership, a corporate outdoor training designer, and a nature therapy researcher. Those who have previously attended the lecture series as well as new comers are welcome to join Chris sharing his diverse activities worldwide.

A stay-over forum is scheduled where participants will have hands-on nature experiences in Japan with Chris. It will be an opportunity to discuss Japan's culture and environment with a diverse group of people. Please keep your eyes for information on this weekend as details will be posted on the ECOPLUS web site.
Chris Loynes Profile:
Chris Loynes lectures in Outdoor Education and Development Training at St. Martin's College. He also consults in the UK and internationally for universities and experiential education organizations. He is currently working towards a masters degree in Development Training and on a national initiative to develop experiential 'rite of passage' programmes for excluded young people.
His first post at a comprehensive school involved the development of an outdoor education programme as an alternative curriculum. He moved on to lead the Brathay Hall Trust's Youth Development Programme and study outdoor leadership training worldwide. He was the editor of the Journal of Adventure Education and Outdoor Leadership, the field's professional journal, from 1980-2000. In 1987 he founded and managed Adventure Education. He has published widely in professional journals and conference proceedings and is currently working towards a PhD.
Chris is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. His outdoor interests include mountaineering and offshore sailing.
